The striking exchanges between both fighters in the first round was nothing short of spectacular, and both guys had near knockdowns of their own.
Pickett, though, landed a takedown midway through the round but had a hard time trying to pass Neil Seery’s guard. He had a Arm-Triangle Choke attempt that was defended well by his Irish opponent too.
In the second round, striking exchanges continued with Seery once again, perhaps, getting the better of the two fighters striking wise. His counter left hook was working like a charm. In the last two minutes, however, Pickett landed a takedown once again, and worked some ground-and-pound en route to securing the round in his favor.
In the third and final stanza, both fighters turned it up a notch with their striking. Pickett, though, secured two takedowns and deservedly took the Unanimous Decision.
Final Result: Brad Pickett def. Neil Seery via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
